“Religious Preacher’s Words Lead to Starvation and Death of 90 People in Kenya”

Nairobi – The number of people who starved to death after hearing the words of a religious preacher in Kenya has crossed 90. Police recovered 95 dead bodies, including those of children, from the coastal city of Malindi. The police have already rescued 34 people who were starving to death in the forest. The believers were starving because of the words of Paul McKenzie, a preacher of the Good News International Church. The instruction was to starve to death to see God. The Kenyan government has declared a curfew in the area.

Believers starved in Shakahola forest. The police confirmed that the graves of five members of a family were found here. Home Minister Kithur Kindiki stated that more inspection is being done in the 800 acres of forest. It is also reported that 112 people have gone missing from this region recently. Meanwhile, according to the Red Cross Society of Kenya, 213 people are to be found.

The police are collecting evidence including who buried the dead. Paul McKenzie was arrested in connection with the incident, but he pleaded not guilty. Six people, including Mackenzie’s close followers, are in police custody. Mackenzie explained that his organization was dissolved in 2019.
