On August 15, the day of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, a significant meeting was held in Puente Negro, where various religious congregations met to celebrate Religious Life in an atmosphere of solidarity and fraternity, fundamental values that, as Pope Francis has pointed out, are the pillars that make our civilization truly human.
The day began at 11:00 with a shared breakfast between the different congregations, strengthening the bonds of fraternity and unity among the participants. The meeting was attended by 18 sisters and a priest, representing the Congregations of the Sisters of Christ, Missionary Carmelites, Pious Teachers Venerini, Slaves of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Franciscans of Angol, Hospitallers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Amor de Misericordioso and Father Mario Mancilla Vera.
At 11:45 a.m., the celebration continued with the Holy Eucharist in the chapel of the Franciscan Sisters. The mass was presided over by Father Mario, who with his words inspired those present to live solidarity and fraternity as essential elements in their religious and daily life.
This meeting, full of spirituality and fellowship, is a living example of the commitment of the congregations to the values of the Gospel, reflecting in their daily actions the love and mercy of God. In this month dedicated to solidarity, the call to continue working together for a more just and fraternal society was renewed.
With a fraternal greeting, the congregations present expressed their hope that this month of Solidarity may be for everyone a time of reflection, commitment and growth in faith.
