Reliance and BP start energy production in Indian deep sea
Mumbai: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and B.P. PLC also announced that it has started producing oil and gas from the MJ field. R. I. It is the last of three major new deepwater projects completed by the L-BP joint team off India’s east coast. The announcement follows the completion of tests prior to generating power from the MJ field.
Gas and condensate will initially be produced from the MJ field following the start-up of field production in December 2020 and the satellite cluster in April 2021. All three fields will use the same infrastructure. At peak, the three fields combined will produce about 30 million cubic meters per day (1 billion cubic feet per day) of gas. This accounts for one-third of India’s total gas production. It will meet 15 percent of India’s gas demand.
2013 at a depth of about 1,200 meters in the eastern sea of India, about 30 km from Gadimoga.
The location of MJ Field was sanctioned in 2019.
The MJ is the part of the subsurface that has a lot of gas and condensate. 12 million cubic meters of gas and 25,000 barrels of condensate per day. Derived from J.

It is a pleasure to work with BP on critical projects under the most challenging environments. MJ Development can support the Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Energy Vision’ projects through its projects.
