Release Telegram Beta version 8.7.2 for operating system iOS sparked suspicions that this was a ‘warm up’ for Telegram Premium.
As reported by Android Police, this app provides lots of emojis and stickers which have been marked as Telegram Premium exclusives. Users who choose a sticker and a reaction emoji will be asked to register for the service.
Also, users who use Telegram for free cannot see premium stickers in conversation threads. The sticker is replaced with an invitation to register.
Until now there has been no news regarding Telegram Premium. Also quoted from The VergeTelegram did not comment on the Telegram Beta and its instructions for registering a subscription.
However, users who have access to TestFlight Telegram and Test Server can exchange reactions and other novelties. But it seems, in the future users will have to use Telegram Premium to use it.
Previously, Telegram founder Pavel Durov said that Telegram needs to be monetized so that this application does not sell like WhatsApp or disappear like other applications.
“Telegram will start generating revenue, starting next year,” Durov said in late 2020.
He gave a little hint with plans to advertise on the platform’s major channels and “will add some new features for business teams or power holders” which will come for a fee.
However, Durov promises to keep all sections dedicated to private messaging free.
