The Galaxy S25 and its Fan Edition version approaching
A wind of excitement is blowing through the world of technology. Indeed, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 is on the horizon and its Fan Edition version might not be far behind.
A slimmer model considered
The report states that the Galaxy S25 FE will retain the same 6.7-inch screen size as the recently released Galaxy S24 FE. However, Samsung is reportedly considering using a thinner but larger battery to slim down the phone. The Galaxy S24 FE was around 8.8mm thick, so the difference probably won’t be huge but will definitely be noticeable.
Rumors suggest the use of a Dimensity 9400 chip
We don’t know much else about the phone, including the specifications. However, a recent report from GSM Arena suggests that the S25 FE could be equipped with a Dimensity chip, likely the Dimensity 9400. If Samsung is aiming to keep costs down, the phone could be equipped with the Exynos 2500, although Samsung has was recently rumored to ditch it for the Galaxy S25. Ideally, the Dimensity chip will offer more power, potentially even outperforming Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip, but will likely increase the price of the phone.
A preview of what to expect
If we take the Galaxy S24 FE as an example, we can get a vague idea of what to expect from the new phone. For example, the S24 FE had a very similar camera layout to the Galaxy S24 with a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Because of this, we can expect the S25 FE to have a similar camera layout to the Galaxy S25, which is expected to be very similar to the Galaxy S24, although the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to get some major improvements.
