Release of Syrian Man’s Body from Hospital in Lebanon to be Buried in Hometown

The head of the Association of Social Families in Akkar, the mayor of Al-Bireh, Muhammad Wehbe, announced, “The release of the body of Ahmed Kadam, a Syrian from Talkalakh, his mother from Al-Zarzouri from Al-Bireh, Akkar, who died of an electric shock in Beirut, and his body was kept in Our Lady of Lebanon Hospital, Jounieh, due to the inability of the family of paying for treatment costs.

He said in a statement: “After the intervention of the mayor of Al-Bireh, pressure was placed on the insurance company to receive the body, which was transported by the municipality of Al-Bireh. The body is now crossing the Lebanese-Syrian border towards his hometown in Syria to be buried there.” (national agency)
