Release of free-to-play shooter The Division: Heartland may be coming soon

The Division didn’t get off to the best start, with a game that looked nothing like the very impressive demo shown during E3 2013. Moreover, there was relatively little content for a game that had to last for years. But developer Massive Entertainment has since worked hard to deliver on the promises and since then a sequel has been released and The Division 3 has recently been announced.

In addition, a free-to-play spin-off is also in the works in the form of The Division: Heartland. The game was announced in 2021 and was expected to release in the same year or 2022, but we haven’t heard much about it since except for a Cinematic Intro.

It just seems like The Division: Heartland could potentially release soon. The game has received a rating of of Taiwanese rating board. Heartland will be released domestically with a PG-15 rating, due to “violent, inappropriate language and anti-society displays.”

How long until the release?

In general, games are only reviewed when development is quite advanced. No major adjustments will be made anymore, otherwise a game will have to go through again rating board for a review.

According to leaker Kurakasis, who noticed the review, normally takes two to two-and-a-half months for a game to be released after a rating. If Ubisoft keeps the same pace, we can expect The Division: Heartland in January or February.
