The Marvel Studios film ‘Shang-Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings’ is doing particularly well in cinemas. The Disney film grossed $76 million in the United States alone in its first four days of release. That’s a record, considering Labor Day coincided with the first shooting days. ‘Shang-Chi’ ensured the highest attendance ever achieved during the national holiday. So it’s obvious that superhero movie buffs have found their way back to the screens.

The makers of ‘Venom’ have also noticed this. Sony initially planned to release the sequel on October 15, but has now decided to bring it forward by two weeks. The film is now expected to hit theaters on October 1. Remarkable, given that it was initially whispered that Sony wanted to postpone the release until January 2022, in the hope of achieving better box office results.
