An official release date for the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle documentary has never been announced. Unofficially, it was reported that the film was originally slated for a “December of this year,” shortly after the release of the new and fifth seasons of the Netflix series “The Crown.” But it seemed the streaming service had a change of heart, due to all the hype surrounding the landmark drama series. The series has been inundated with criticism in recent weeks, because it shows, among other things, how bad things got between Charles and Princess Diana. Especially the fact that they’re only getting it now, now that “Prince Charles” is trying to find his way to him as the new king, many fans and critics don’t find it very clean.
Plus, Harry and Meghan themselves didn’t seem so excited about the release of their ‘fly on the wall’ documentary anymore. After the Queen died, they seemed to have misgivings about some things that had been said and reportedly wanted to make some changes. According to rumors, the couple also tried to postpone the release as much as possible, but without success. ‘Page Six’ announces that the documentary, whose title remains a big secret, will appear on the Netflix streaming platform on December 8th.
