SC Freiburg dominated the encounter, with the Sparkasse team relying on counterattacks but rarely finishing.
At SC, Zlatan Bajramovic pulled the strings in midfield and they had already taken a clear 5-0 lead at halftime. With two more goals in the second half of the game, the traditional SC team increased the score to 7-0. But that was actually only of marginal interest. They enjoyed a relaxed football game where the focus was on both sides having fun.

The SC traditional team will play against a selection from Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau on September 24, 2023, 4 p.m., on the VfR Vörstetten sports field as part of the Oktoberfest taking place there.
With the traditional SC team, around 100 former SC Freiburg players and coaches can be seen here and there on the region’s football pitches.
Even though the line-up will only be determined shortly beforehand, the next opportunity to see one or two former prominent professionals from our sports club will be on Sunday, September 24th, 2023 at 4 p.m.! As part of this year’s Oktoberfest on the VfR Vörstetten sports field. There the former SC footballers have to face a selection of their premium and financial partner, the Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau with neighboring savings banks and network partners! Admission is free.
The Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau is using its sponsorship partnership with today’s Europa League participant to give its football-playing employees a very special experience. Their friendship with VfR Vörstetten is also lived out, because the club organizes everything on site and looks after the health and well-being of hopefully many football enthusiasts.
