Relaxations in France: to resume concerts and reopen discotheques | Abroad

Hall concerts can take place from the end of this month with a capacity of 75 percent. For open-air concerts, this is possible at full capacity. Proof of vaccination or a recent negative test will only be required at concerts with more than 1,000 attendees. That rule already applies to performances with a seated audience. For concerts where a vaccination certificate or a negative test is requested, a mouth mask will no longer be mandatory, although it remains recommended.

The same rules will also apply to discotheques, the only cultural sector that has remained closed since the start of the pandemic. “The idea is to allow young people and less young people to party safely,” said Bachelot.

Concert organizers and discotheque owners will have to provide a test facility, so that visitors can have a quick test taken.
