Furthermore, there is unfortunately little uplifting news to report after the early meeting of the Consultation Committee. After the previous Consultation Committee, an “outside plan” was proposed. If the figures were to evolve favorably, things would gradually be allowed out in the open air again.
Now that the number of infections and hospital admissions is unexpectedly increasing, the Consultation Committee is pressing the pause button, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo (Open VLD) said after the Consultation Committee.
It was the intention that from 1 April events and worship services in the open air with a maximum of 50 people in attendance would be possible again and theme parks would be allowed to reopen. That relaxations are now – again subject to change – postponed to April 19, so after the Easter holidays.
