Relaxation of curfews in Suriname from 11:00 pm – 5:00 am

The exit ban in Suriname, the so-called curfew, will be relaxed. That is one of the COVID-19 measures that will take effect from tomorrow, 23 November 2020. Surinamese airspace will also be partially opened up, the Surinamese government said on Sunday.

This all has to do with the stable COVID-19 situation and figures in the country. The number of infections is stable and low. Health Minister Amar Ramadhin has just announced this.

“If we consider the historical data, it gives us a good representation of the current situation. The curve still shows a positive picture. As a country, we are officially classified as an area with code orange. We are therefore increasingly at ease. However, don’t let that slip into casualness. We are not there yet, ”the minister warned.
