There is a connection between the shooting on the Enschede lawyer Philippe Schol in November 2019 and the shooting at a gym in Losser a month earlier. The police announced this in the television program on Tuesday evening
Investigation Requested.
Schol was shot in the street on November 6 last year near his home in the German border town of Gronau. The lawyer was seriously injured, but survived the attack.
After the shooting, the police in the Netherlands announced that they were investigating whether there was a link between the shooting incident in Gronau and an incident at the Olympic Gym gym in Losser a month earlier.
A forensic investigation would now show that the shooting of the gym is indeed related to the liquidation attempt.
Link between cars used in bombardment
The shooter at the gym in Losser drove a black BMW. This BMW is linked to the silver-gray Volkswagen Polo that was used in the firing in Gronau.
The police say it is striking that both cars have not been found burned down. This is often the case with similar incidents. According to the police, this indicates that the cars may still be in use.
The perpetrators and both cars are still being searched. By showing new images, the police hope that the case will still be resolved. There is a reward of 17,500 euros for the golden tip.
