Rekormeister apparently wants to bring club legends back

The record champion apparently plans to tie three big names back to the club – as ambassadors for Bavaria.

FC Bayern Munich is apparently planning a “return campaign” from three club legends. This reports the “picture”. Accordingly, the German record champions are considering offering striker Claudio Pizarro a position as club ambassador after the end of his career.

“Claudio is a very big topic for us, as far as the role as ambassador is concerned,” Bavaria’s “ambassador captain” Giovane Elber confirmed the “Bild”. And: “I already had a conversation with him about it and explained what we were doing. He said it all sounds good to him.” However, it is still unclear if Pizarro could start in his new role – because yet it is not always 100 percent clear whether the 41-year-old really ends his career in the summer.

Robben and Lahm are also expected to come back

The Peruvian played for Munich from 2001 to 2007 and from 2012 to 2015, scored 125 goals for the German industry leader in 327 games, won the Champions League, six championships and five DFB cup wins with Bayern. Pizarro’s current contract with Werder Bremen expires at the end of the season.

For this purpose, two more icons are to return to FC Bayern: Philipp Lahm and Arjen Robben are also to act as club ambassadors in the future. He would “speak to Arjen and Philipp soon if they could imagine making appointments for us as ambassadors,” Elber told the “Bild”.
