During the last municipal council, the following subsidy requests were adopted: €6,064 from the State as part of the project to install a specific safety plan in schools and the canteen, €103,439 € from the county council for a soft plan of cycle paths, €13,995 from the Water Agency for a call for projects “dewatering of urban soils – giving water and nature the right of citizenship”.
In addition, the municipal council voted free, for the year 2022, for the public domain occupation fee for terraces (which amounts to €50 if the area occupied is less than 10 m2 and 100 € beyond).
The city council has adopted the maintenance of free for the year 2022, registration with the Joan-Pau-Giné media library pending the result of the reflection on its possible attachment to the community of communes ACVI.
It has also decided to sign a partnership agreement with the French Blood Establishment for blood collection renewable annually by tacit agreement.
Finally, the mayor placed on the agenda the proposal by Patrick Aybar, leader of the opposition, to organize a local consultation of the population on the advisability of creating a “budget and finance” commission. The latter motivated his request by the importance for the opposition, in order to be able to play its role, of accessing the draft operating and investment budgets of the municipality and their execution within the framework of a specific commission. permitted by law.
Marie Cabrera, mayor, presented her opposition to this proposal in three points.
On the one hand, the municipal council has already decided on its committees and has not considered it useful to create a thematic committee “budget and finance” which is not legally compulsory. On the other hand, the subject proposed, for a consultation of the population, does not seem to him to be of general interest but of a purely technical interest. Finally, this consultation represents a non-negligible cost and too little stake.
The proposal was rejected by a majority of the city council.
