Reinvent the World is an educational program of theFrench Development Agency to raise awareness among young people about sustainable development and international solidarity. Designed for middle and high school teachers and educational stakeholders, the program combines Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Media and Information Education (EMI). By participating in Reinventing the World, you and your students will be able to:
● Explore sustainable development goals through life stories of the planet’s inhabitants;
● Produce a podcast and thus allow students to spread a message about the world as they see it today and the world to be reinvented by 2030;
● Participate in a national competition which rewards and promotes the best productions each year;
● Benefit from resources and support to guide you through all stages of carrying out the project.
The podcast content must be linked to one or more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. There are 17 of them and are linked to the global challenges we face, such as climate change, gender equality, the preservation of terrestrial and marine biodiversity, etc. Accompanied by their teachers, middle and high school students are invited to create a podcast to spread a message about the world as they see it today and the one to reinvent by 2030.
The podcast must be a story, fictional or real, told in one or more voices and must not exceed 10 minutes.
