Reinstallation of Stolen Painting “He Lived Here” in Honor of Hamdi Qandil: Minister of Culture Takes Action

Written by Basant Jamil Thursday, September 07, 2023 06:45 PM, following directions Minister of Culture Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, the National Organization for Urban Harmony, headed by Eng. Muhammad Abu Saada, re-installed the painting “He Lived Here” in front of the house of the great writer Hamdi Qandil, instead of the missing painting.

Abu Saada appealed to the real estate owners to cooperate in preserving these paintings, because the personalities of this project deserve all appreciation and honor, as these identification plates are a shield of honor for them.

The National Organization for Urban Harmony issued theft reports regarding the received reports.

The artist Naglaa Fathi had spoken a few days ago about the loss of the painting “He Lived Here” related to the name of the late journalist Hamdi Qandil, in Heliopolis, to which the Ministry of Culture responded quickly.

It is noteworthy that the Lived Here project comes in implementation of the cooperation protocol that was previously signed between the Information and Decision Support Center in the Council of Ministers and the National Organization for Civilization Harmony to document the places where the symbols of the homeland lived.
