The local musicians Raum (real name Reinis Straume) and Marta (full name Marta Grigale) have given the listeners a song “Breakfast”.
The authors of the music and lyrics of the song “Breakfast” are Reinis Straume with Marta, while the song is produced by JJ Lush (Jānis Jačmenkins). It should be reminded that Raum announced the beginning of his solo artist’s career and collaboration with Warner Music Baltics in the first half of this year, and “Breakfast” is the third single from this collaboration, following the previously released songs “Happier” and “Roof Ride”. ”. Both musicians – both Raum and Marta – have already proven to be very interesting and listenable, so there was no doubt that the collaboration will remain in the ears. It is also, maybe I would just like more Marta, but the dominant one here is Reinis, because he, of course, was the initiator of this cooperation.
“When Reinis showed the demo of the song, listening to it for the first time, it was clear to me that I would agree to participate – I was addressed by both the story and the sound of the song. However, the most amazing thing about our collaboration was how easy everything went: how naturally the second verse of the song came to me, how quickly we found the visual solutions of the song and how easily we became a duo in the framework of this project, ”Marta is excited. The creation of the video for the song “Breakfast”, as well as the process of its creation, took place quite organically: when all those involved quickly came to a common idea and spontaneously found the right locations, a video was filmed overnight.
“” Breakfast “is a song about meeting – where and how, it is discussed in the song, but the main emotions I wanted to remind the listeners are the positive feelings that take us through the very first hours and days of a new relationship. Having a good time, flirting and everything at the same time is both simple and direct, and mysterious and unknown, ”says Raum. “While writing this song, I stopped after the first song and realized that feminine energy and the other side of the story are needed here. I had recently seen Marta when we wrote another song together, but the new song “Breakfast” required exactly the same mysterious, velvety timbre as Marta’s. We finished working on the song together, and the result is both listenable and watchable video. ”
