Reinis Klattenbergs: Humor is not a defense mechanism. I had to quit my job because of the beatings

We will find out in August and September 2025 whether his song will have a positive impact on the demographic situation of Latvia and whether new taxpayers will be born.

“I myself am doing well with promoting demographics, I have a son who is six years old, and I also helped my wife raise two foster sons who are already 16 and 19 years old old My wife and I lived together for seven years, they helped each other develop and learned a lot from each other. We have decided to divorce and have been living separately since February,” said Reinis.

The musician is happy that he managed to maintain friendly relations and they are still good parents. Often during courtship, “dirty laundry” is washed in public, disdain and humiliation are expressed, they have decided to end the marriage on a positive note – by ‘ hold a divorce party.

The party will be held on November 29, at 18.00 at the creative center “Hyper”, where an exhibition of photos with Reina’s ex-wife and her concert will be presented.

About his work, Reinis says that he makes fun of how bad it is, nothing – every joke has a part of the truth. He also has songs about serious topics, but it should be understood that he works in the entertainment industry and that kind of humor does not exist in Latvia.

“It may not be for everyone, but those who do are very appreciative of what I do. Iron and satire. The only problem with this kind of humor is that part of the public doesn’t get it. I have had problems at a few jobs that I had to leave because of the songs. For this reason, I don’t think humor is a defense tool in my case, because it would be much “safer” and easier to create neutral songs, “pouring water” and hiding behind a mask,” Reinis is sure.

When creating potential hits, the first thing that comes to mind is the music for which the lyrics were created. Sometimes the singer hears a funny phrase every day, sometimes the song plays in his sleep and the show’s partner writes it down when he wakes up. Currently, Reinis is working on the album “Miera osta“, which plays the theme of love.

“A lot of songs about love seem clichéd, that’s why I want to create songs that I like, maybe with a bit of humor about those clichés, but without making fun of the bottom -an idea like that, putting my heart into it,” said Reinis.

The musician dreams of creating a unique genre of music in Latvia, with the help of which local musicians could be known all over the world. Reinis has already created a template for creating songs of this genre, and he is ready to share it with other musicians with whom he could conquer the world.
