The obligation to wear a mask on public roads for anyone eleven years of age and over extends in Moselle. In a very degraded health context and general re-containment, Laurent Touvet, prefect of Moselle, decided, in consultation with the mayors of the municipalities concerned, decided to make it compulsory from 7 a.m. to midnight in new municipalities.
Until then, only Metz, Thionville and Montigny-lès-Metz were concerned. As of this Saturday, October 31, we must add Woippy, Terville, Manom, Yutz, and in certain situations throughout the department.

Also, the wearing of a mask is made compulsory, throughout the Moselle territory, for anyone 11 years of age and over, in the following cases:
• in cemeteries on October 31 and November 1
• during any gathering, meeting or activity organized on public roads or in a place open to the public bringing together more than six people simultaneously when they are not prohibited in application of the decree of October 29, 2020 (ex: demonstration protest, professional gathering)
• for any food market
• in the immediate vicinity of educational establishments (schools, middle school, high school) at the entry and exit time slots for pupils, within a perimeter defined by the mayor of the municipality.
–
The obligation to wear a mask provided for in this decree does not apply to people with disabilities who have a medical certificate justifying this exemption.
As a reminder, wearing a mask is compulsory for children from 6 years old at school.
