“Mobile” teams

In order to best ensure compliance with the measure this festive evening, the prefect ensures that the police and gendarmes have identified “specific points that will move” : “Information circulates quickly so we move, we are mobile to be as efficient as possible”.

Controls will be particularly tightened in Bordeaux but also in outlying areas and rural areas. The police particularly target illegal parties: “There is intelligence work that has been done on social networks, in relation to those who could rent rooms or even restaurants that would turn into something else, once the curtain is lowered.” The prefect also specifies that the participants risk a fine of 135 euros and the organizers or owners can be brought to justice.

The prefect of the Gironde has also issued an order prohibiting the sale and use of fireworks for New Year’s Eve.
