The police report around the clock 13.00 Wednesday that a person is reported missing after a fall accident at Reinebringen in Moskenes.
The person must have been in a tour group.
Emergency units and a rescue helicopter are on their way to the scene.
Svolvær alpine rescue group is on standby and is ready when needed.
Just before noon 13.30 the rescue helicopter has arrived. This is reported by Avisa Nordland’s news editor, Markus Rask Jensen, who is on site.
The clock 13.35 reports the police that emergency units arrived at the area and located the person. Life-saving first aid has been implemented.
The clock 13.47 Operations Manager Kjetil Kaalsaas at Nordland Police District states that they currently do not have much information other than that lifesaving first aid is provided.
– The person who fell was in a tour, but we do not yet know how many they were. Right now the focus is on providing life-saving first aid, Kaalsaas says to Lofotenposten.
