Unifying par excellence, cooking is an activity that is very often shared, thus promoting transmission between generations. Also, as part of the citizen dialogue Let’s invent the Reims after, the city and the Gustave Eiffel high school have joined forces to organize an intergenerational cooking competition called Générations toquées. To participate, a team must be made up of a Reims senior aged over 65, a young person aged 9 to 17 and an adult, knowing that none of the members must be a working catering professional. The first stage of this competition is that of selection. To overcome it, each trio must introduce themselves, collectively design an original recipe and submit their application on reims.fr or via the registration form available in particular at the town hall and in nearby town halls, before April 22. Six teams will be selected to take part in the Générations toquées final. It will take place on Wednesday May 4 in the afternoon, from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Lycée Gustave Eiffel in Reims. The intergenerational trios will have to create together a recipe from an identical and imposed basket. Two juries will decide between them: the first to evaluate the kitchen team and the second on the preparations, taking into account various taste and visual criteria. The winners will be the VIP guests of the educational restaurant of the Lycée Gustave Eiffel where they will be able to enjoy a meal designed especially in their honor.
