“Le Journal du dimanche” published, in its last issue, its second ranking of the towns and villages where people live best in France. The weekly explains that this ranking was carried out by the eponymous association, which screened 34,837 municipalities in mainland France “according to 183 official criteria, whose data were published throughout 2020 by the Insee or by state bodies. »They concern the quality of life, safety, shops and services, transport, health, education, solidarity and sports and leisure. A ranking dominated by Annecy (Haute-Savoie), Bayonne (Basque Country) and Angers (Maine-et-Loire). In the Marne, we only find Reims (118th) and Châlons (181st), while on the side of the villages of less than 2,000 inhabitants, appear Saint-Martin-sur-le-Pré (199th), in the suburb of Châlonnaise, and Pierry (289th), in the district of Épernay.
