Rehovot Festival of Living Sculptures – Jewish Traveler and may we go to peace

The Rehovot Municipality and the municipal society will once again hold the Rehovot International Festival of Living Sculptures this year. This is the 12th festival in number. This year it is expected to host tens of thousands of visitors from all over the country, who will enjoy fine, interactive and spectacular art suitable for all ages. The entrance is free.

The festival will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the week (18th, 19th, 20th in Elol 2023) between the dates of September 4-6, 2023 on Ya’akov St. in Rehovot. A colorful and iridescent fabric decor hangs.

This year, a Japanese-style rhythm and drum group – “Taiko Life” – is expected to perform in a special show for the festival that will give viewers an inspiring multi-sensory musical experience alongside fire and movement artists. Among the performances this year, there will also be an original performance by Akim and there will be special performances for a population with special needs on Tuesday and Wednesday (September 5-6) at 4:45 p.m.

If in the past we had to travel to capital cities across Europe in order to meet up close the popular street art – the art of living sculptures, then the Rehovot International Festival of Living Sculptures changed that. During the festival, the general public gets to meet dozens of sculptures that “come to life” in a variety of colorful, fascinating and iridescent characters. The best artists from Israel and the world take part in the festival, and alongside the dozens of Israeli artists, some of whom are returning again with new characters, the festival will host six international artists from the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Poland. All the sculptures and performances at the festival are renewed this year, and there is no statue or figure that has ever appeared at the festival.
