THE EAGLE. The leader of the Brave Eagle group, Simona Giannangeliobtained a discussion with the manager of ASL 1 Abruzzo, Ferdinand Romanoand with the health director Alfonso Mascitelli. At the centre, the fate of the Territorial Rehabilitation Centre, in reality already marked by the content of a resolution of the Local Health Authority which established its transfer from the headquarters of Collemaggio to that of the G8, in the area of the San Salvatore hospital, starting from last November 4th. A comparison with which Giannangeli asked his interlocutors a series of blunt questions, namely «when and how the inspections were carried out in the Collemaggio structure, what critical issues emerged, and in which reports or documents it is possible to find traces of the results of the inspections themselves.” Questions to which the manager and director responded by justifying the transfer on the basis of a whole series of “requests received from dozens and dozens of families of minors”, to date “enthusiastic about the G8 container”. Contrary, therefore, to what the two declared regarding the Collemaggio headquarters, defined by Romano as “dilapidated”, as well as located in “a dangerous area, with the presence of drug addicts and homeless people. In fact, the container has several advantages”, according to Romano, including “independent access and ample parking”. Giannangeli then asked to see the results of the inspections certifying the unsuitability of the now former Collemaggio structure, only to then be told that “there is no need for inspections to detect the critical issues” and that in any case “nothing has been put down in black and white”. Just as there is no trace of the “dozens of reports”, all received “through telephone calls”. The ball now passes to the third commission, whose convocation “has become urgent”, concluded the councilor.(t.d.b.)
