Paris is collecting the last electric scooters and from tomorrow they are banned. We checked how in Sofia the movement with the otherwise ecological transport is controlled.
In the capital, there is a ban on the use of scooters in pedestrian areas and in parks. The fine is BGN 50 for citizens and BGN 300 for companies. However, the municipality does not say how many are sanctioned.
The ban applies to all personal and rental scooters, and the rental ones already have modified software, so that when entering a pedestrian zone or a park, the speed of the scooter automatically drops to five kilometers per hour, which means that you have to get off and to push her.
The places where you can park are marked in yellow, as it is forbidden to leave the scooters in parks, gardens and pedestrian areas.
If you do not comply with the ban, the scooter will automatically charge you a higher fee because you have left it in a no scooter parking area.
According to the rules, scooters must move on the far right of the road at a speed of up to twenty-five kilometers per hour.
