Onno Kroese’s practice stands for modern dental and orthodontic care. Reason for Lisa Jungerman to work there as a dentist. Besides the fact that the practice uses all modern aids, the method also appeals to her, whereby the interests of the patient come first. Getting healthy teeth starts with drawing up a treatment plan. It states what it takes to do now and what can wait a while. Dentist Jungerman takes the time to go through the plan with the patient: ,, Good communication in advance is important to me, because the patient always retains control, of course, ”says the dentist. The advantage is that Jungerman knows what the reimbursements are and therefore understands if treatments sometimes have to wait.
USED Not everyone likes going to the dentist. That is why Elise Jungerman puts her patients at ease as much as possible; and that is appreciated. “I put people who are anxious in the chair and then I talk to them to reassure them. The times after that I keep going one step further until they are used to it ”, the dentist explains.
It is best to let children go to the dentist when they are very young. By counting teeth together and making a game of it, children get used to the dental chair. There is no reason whatsoever to deny children and young people a visit to the dentist, because all dental treatments up to the age of 18 are fully reimbursed by the health insurer.
At dental practice Kroese it is not necessary to fear pain, because an anesthetic is always possible. The regular advice is to have a dental check-up twice a year and a treatment by the dental hygienist. “People who have top teeth can also come once a year as far as I’m concerned”, Jungerman says. Because this dentist does not like unnecessary treatments.
