Almost a quarter of craft businesses are run by women. To honor these talents in craftsmanship, Chamber of Trades and Crafts France is organizing for the second year, in partnership with AG2R La Mondiale, the “Madame Crafts”.
Goal ? Promote the place of women business owners, employees and apprentices for their contribution to the local economy. Candidates have until January 29, 2021 to submit their application with the help of their Chamber of Trades and Crafts among the categories:
- Madame Crafts Trophy: rewards a woman entrepreneur for at least 3 years, or all entrepreneurs who have finalized the takeover of a company;
- Madame apprentice trophy: rewards an apprentice in training in a CFA of the CMA network;
- Madame Engagée Trophy: promotes daring projects that will drive tomorrow’s economy in areas such as innovation, digital technology, social and solidarity economy, or have a positive impact on their territory.
This year, the prize is sponsored by Nathalie Schraen-Gurima, columnist and TV host and supported by women’s networks “Move Your Box” and “FCE France”, an association of women entrepreneurs.
“This trophy is a boost to female entrepreneurship. It highlights all the women who work in crafts, in all territories, by giving them a voice, by putting them in the spotlight, because spontaneously they would not necessarily do so. However, these women all have one thing in common: an unwavering commitment and passion. Their backgrounds as business leaders and apprentices are exemplary, they are inspiring for the whole new generation of young women engaged in apprenticeship ”, emphasizes Joël Fourny, president of CMA France.
