Who is involved in the vaccination of minors?
The application of vaccines for minors in Mexico began last October, with exclusive doses for young people between 12 and 17 years old who suffered from some comorbidity.
But this Monday, López-Gatell announced that the vaccination program will be extended to adolescents between 15 and 17 years old who do not have comorbidities, thus beginning with the general vaccination of minors considered in this group.
And it is that as he explained, from the age of 15 there is an increase in mortality, compared to groups of children between 10 and 14 years of age.
This is due to different changes that exist in the immune system of people from that age and makes them begin to be more susceptible to COVID-19, explained the undersecretary.
