The registration period to participate in the Municipal Theater Schools for the 2023/24 academic year is now open until October 31 or until seats are exhausted. This is an activity that the Department of Culture of the El Ejido City Council launches each year to promote a love of theater among Ejido residents of all ages.
The course will begin on October 1 and among the numerous benefits that schools report to their participants are improvements in reading texts, voice, language, gestures or disinhibition, “helping to foster the creative spirit and interpretation of the students, as well as helping to improve their capacity for expression and communication”, details the councilor for Ejidense Culture, Elena Gómez.
This edition will have a total of 14 groups that will be divided into categories for children, youth and adults, with more than 150 students, highlighting as a novelty that there will be a class for children from 3 years old and two classes for people with special needs. .
Gómez points out that “the El Ejido Municipal Theater Schools also become an inclusive and integration space where you can learn the importance of normalizing and defending the rights of people with disabilities in society.”
In addition, Elena Gómez recalls that “with these workshops we provide theater fans with an excellent cultural platform that grows in number of students every year, with which learning and fun are combined and which serves as a boost to our important Theater Show Fan of El Ejido”.
Interested parties have until September 28 to sign up through a digital certificate from the City Council website or by collecting an application at the Teatro Auditorio and registering it at the Consistory. The Ejido lives theatrical work with great intensity.
