From today, the Central Electoral Commission begins to accept the documents for the registration of the parties and coalitions for participation in the elections for people’s representatives on October 27. Their reception will be every working day from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the deadline is September 11. Then it will become clear which political formations are participating in the race for the votes of voters in the sixth consecutive early parliamentary vote from 2021 until now.
The application for registration of a party is signed by the person or persons who represent it according to its current court registration or by a person expressly authorized by them.
The full or abbreviated name of the party according to its court registration and its name requested for inclusion in the ballot are indicated.
A certificate of current legal status, issued by the Sofia City Court no earlier than August 27 – the date of issuance of the presidential decree scheduling the elections; a sample of the signature of a representative of the party and a sample of its seal, as well as a list of the names, the uniform civil number and the handwritten signature of no less than 2,500 voters supporting the registration.
To participate in the elections for people’s representatives, parties and coalitions also pay a deposit of BGN 2,500.
In response to a question regarding the situation with the two wings of the DPS and which of them will be able to register for the elections, the deputy chairperson and spokesperson of the CEC, Rositsa Mateva, was categorical that the Commission cannot comment on internal party issues.
“DPS – a new beginning” is already a fact. This is stated in a press release sent to the BNR from an email address used by Delyan Peevski’s DPS faction.
The letter claims that an electronically signed application for registration for the upcoming elections for the 51st National Assembly was submitted 5 minutes after midnight.
