Jakarta – After visiting 2 (two) Health Sub-Departments (Sudinkes) of Central Jakarta and East Jakarta Administrative City, the Sipkumham Team (Legal and Human Rights Information System) Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kanwil Kemenkumham) DKI Jakarta also visited the Health Service ( Health Department) DKI Jakarta Province. The team chaired by the Head of Human Rights, Safatil Firdaus, was warmly welcomed by Dr. Rahmat Aji Pramono as person in charge of the HIV/AIDS program.

On this occasion, the Head of Human Rights, Safatil Firdaus, explained that this visit to the Health Office was the result of a visit to the East and Central Jakarta Health Sub-Departments, which are the Health Sub-departments that handle the most number of Assisted Citizens (WB). Next, Dr. Rahmat explained that the Health Office plays a role in policy making, while the Health Department plays a role in binwasdal (Development, Supervision and Control).

Apart from policy, the Health Department also plays a role in providing logistics such as medicines and reagents, while Consumable Goods (BHP) such as gloves and masks are not included in the logistics provided. In 2023, 80,000 HIV sufferers will be found in DKI Jakarta and 33,590 are undergoing treatment by regularly taking antiretrovirals / ARVs. “In treating HIV, we ensure there will be no shortage of medicines,” explained Dr. Grace. The team plans to continue this data collection activity by visiting the Pengayoman Cipinang Hospital, always a Satellite Hospital at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and Community Counselors (PK) at the East-North Correctional Center (Bapas) next Monday.
