Regional Government studies support measures for companies to avoid redundancies in Madeira and Porto Santo

The vice president of the Regional Government of Madeira, Pedro Calado, was accompanied by the regional secretaries of Economy, Rui Barreto, and of Tourism and Culture, Eduardo Jesus, this Monday, and with representatives of three companies responsible for organizing the ‘500 Largest Companies’ event, at the level of technical, accounting and financial analysis (MADE-CONTA, ECAM and FORECAST), in order to outline support measures for companies in the Region so that they, in turn, avoid dismissing their employees and collaborators.

“The meeting served for the Regional Government, in partnership with these three companies, to study ways of supporting the business economic fabric with regard to maintaining and preserving the jobs of companies in Madeira and Porto Santo, taking into account the current socioeconomic context, to face the Covid-19 pandemic ”, can be read in the note sent by the executive.

In short, “on the table, conditions were being studied to support regional companies so that they do not fire workers and so that they feel, on the part of the Regional Government, the necessary help so that this can be, in some way , accomplished ”.
