The Regional Government of O’Higgins opened a new line of financing from the 7% FNDR Funds, which will focus on socio-environmental projects that promote environmental protection and address the water crisis, among other matters of interest to the O’ Region. Higgins.
It is the first time that the Regional Government has resources to finance projects in the Environment, which constitutes an unprecedented fact within the financing line of the 7% FNDR Fund of GORE O’Higgins and its Regional Council.
“What we seek is to contribute to social organizations that have initiatives to contribute to the environment. We invite you to participate and present your ideas and projects. We are deployed in the territory, visiting communes throughout the Region, informing citizens of this new line of financing and answering all their questions and queries”, said Regional Governor Pablo Silva Amaya.
“The Regional Government is due to the 33 communes and for us, it is very important that the small communes have access to these resources,” added the highest regional authority.
In this regard, Héctor Morales Toro, Head of the Social and Human Development Division of the Regional Government, stated that “for the first time we have this fund and we have 300 million pesos to finance non-profit organizations that have a minimum seniority valid for two years”.
The director of the Regional Government assured that “we want to support recycling initiatives, recovery of spaces that have become micro-waste, initiatives that promote urban and sustainable agriculture, initiatives that promote energy efficiency, such as the installation of photovoltaic solar panels, micro turbines , recovery of wetlands, initiatives to protect the natural heritage of the region, to name a few”.
Applications
On this occasion, the contest will have an online application platform at www.goreohiggins.cl that will allow all organizations in the region to apply without having the geographical barrier as an impediment. Applications will be open from Wednesday, July 20 to August 19.
The amount to be financed per project is 5,000,000 pesos in all its lines: Recycling and Waste Management, Water and Energy Efficiency, Environmental Education and Protection or Preservation of Biodiversity and ecosystems.
