Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) were called to intervene around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, after receiving a call regarding the discovery of the body of a man in a wooded area of Rang de la Colline in Adstock.
Investigators were on site for much of the evening. “Steps are underway to determine the identity of this person, whose body was transported to the Laboratory of Forensic Sciences and Forensic Medicine in Montreal for autopsy and expertise,” said Sergeant Claude Doiron of the SQ.
According to him, the death would not be recent. It is not excluded the possibility that the body found is that of Frédérik Gagné who has been missing since last December. “It is really at the level of the autopsy and the expertise where we have the power to affirm it officially, but for the moment the body has not been identified. »
