After having implemented several important changes to the migratory measures, the Cuban regime enabled an orientation service in which citizens will be able to solve the doubts they have with regarding passports and other changes announced this week on the Island.
According to the pro-government Roundtable, citizens who have questions about the new Cuban passports that will begin to be issued as of July 1 can clarify them at the Procedures Offices located in the different municipalities of the Island.
You can also ask your questions at the Population Assistance Office of the International Directorate of Immigration and Aliens (DIIE), located in Havana, at 20th Street, 7th corner, Miramar, Playa.

The official communiqué indicates that the emails [email protected]and the telephone line 188 -08, will also serve to solve the doubts that the people have.
The publication took the opportunity to clarify some of the most frequently asked questions about the process, noting that the validity of Cuban passports will be extended from six to 10 years for people over 16 years of age, and five for minors.
The aforementioned official space indicates that the measures are aimed at enabling a passport with a longer validity period and without the need for extension, all at a lower cost from abroad.
In this sense, they point out that the price of passports issued within the Island will remain the same.

The Twitter thread reaffirms that the passports with the new changes will be those issued as of July 1, 2023. The authorities indicated that the passports that are already active, and those that will be released before that date, will not lose their validity, but rather will coexist with the new documents until 2029.
