regime covers protest poster with cardboard in Havana

A protest poster painted in Havana has caused something to talk about on social networks, but not because of the message, but because of the way in which the Castro regime had to deal with it due to the shortages experienced in the country.

And photographs shared online show that the members of State Security who went to the place had to use cardboard to cover it, due to an apparent lack of paint.

According to the publication shared by the content creator, Edmundo Dantes Junior, the message appeared in Luyanó. While no further details were shared, it is assumed that the sign was painted during the early morning hours, or perhaps during a blackout.

“Annexation. Military intervention. ADP”, can be seen in some of the photos taken before the cardboard was placed.

“Because of the Blockade, the government lacks paint to repaint the sign that appeared in Luyanó, they cover it with cardboard boxes,” wrote the user, making fun of the embargo excuse used by the regime to justify all the shortages on the Island. .

The influencer could not help but criticize the situation seen in the capital, because despite the lack of paint, the Ministry of the Interior (Minint) did not hesitate to use all the resources it does have to search for the person responsible, as can be seen with the images of the dogs sniffing the sign.

The acronym at the end of the message suggests that it was written by the Self-Defense of the People (ADP) organization, which, according to Castro’s propaganda, is a “counterrevolutionary” paramilitary group that is allegedly led by Cubans in exile.

This organization has been accused by the regime of sponsoring alleged terrorist actions on the Island to “destabilize the country.”

While some users consider that the poster could have been placed by the regime itself to “play the victim” of an act of terror, others could not help but mock the way in which they decided to cover the message allegedly left by the ADP.

“Removing that blue ends the 2024 budget”; “They’re even running out of paint” and “That’s creative resistance,” were just some of the comments made by the people.
