Reggae artist Jah Cure remains incarcerated | Inland

The victim, 45-year-old Nicardo “Papa” Blake, was injured in the abdomen on Oct. 1. He would have walked to the police with his own hands and taken from there to the hospital.

Jah Cure has had a fickle career. In 1997 he broke through with the single King in the jungle. A year later, he was arrested for gun possession, rape and theft. The Jamaican was found guilty in April 1999 and sentenced to 15 years in prison. While in prison, he released three albums and a number of singles. He was released in 2007 after eight years of incarceration. Almost immediately he also launched album four.
