Nganjuk Regent Novi Rahman Hidayat affected by the KPK OTT. Besides Regent Nganjuk, Novi is said to be the Deputy Chairperson of the East Java PKB DPW.
However, the DPW Secretary East Java PKB Anik Maslachah denied that Novi was a cadre of his party.
“Many say Regent Nganjuk (Novi) is a PKB cadre, that’s wrong. From his statement it was clear that he was a PDIP cadre, “said Anik to detikcom, Monday (10/5/2021).
Anik explained that Regent Novi had hoped to be included in the management of the East Java PKB DPW. However, his party was not accommodated, because Novi is a PDIP cadre.
“Novi had indeed hoped to be included in the PKB DPW management. But he was not accommodated because he was a cadre PDIP and we respect his choice as a PDIP cadre. Therefore he is not a PKB cadre, “he explained.
Previous, Regent Nganjuk Novi Rahman Hidayat affected by the KPK OTT. Hundreds of millions of rupiah were confiscated by the KPK team in the OTT. Novi is suspected of accepting bribes related to buying and selling positions in his area. Novi is the Regent of Nganjuk with a service period of 2018-2023.
In the Nganjuk Pilkada, Novi paired up with Marhaen Djumadi. This pair is supported by PKB, PDIP and Hanura. Novi-Marhaen finally won the contest with 303,192 votes or 54.5 percent.
Novi-Marhaen defeated rivals, namely Siti Nurhayati-Bimantoro Wiyono and Desy Natalia Widya-Ainul Yakin. On Monday 24 September 2018, Novi Rahman Hidayat and Marhaen were appointed by East Java Governor Soekarwo at Grahadi Building as Regent and Deputy Regent of Nganjuk.
It was reported, Novi Rahman Hidayat also served as Deputy Chairperson of the East Java PKB DPW for the period 2021-2026. Prior to joining politics, he was an entrepreneur dealing with property and finance. He owns a nickel mine, coal and 120 people’s credit banks.
