Regensburg – SSV Jahn Regensburg holds its own in the top group of the 2nd Bundesliga. After the last two draws, the Upper Palatinate celebrated another win on Sunday at home in a 3-1 (2-0) win against Hannover 96.

Sarpreet Singh (17th minute) and Carlo Boukhalfa (22nd) took care of the Regensburg break. Substitute Sebastian Kerk gave the 8462 spectators an exciting final phase with the 1: 2 (54th) – until Joël Zwarts made everything clear in favor of second in the table with a counterattack in stoppage time.

The first half went to Jahn, who took the lead with Benedikt Saller on loan from Bayern after a one-two. It was strange that 2-0: After an unsuccessful attempt at clarification high in the Regensburg sky, Boukhalfa 96 goalkeeper Martin Hansen pushed hard and somehow managed to accommodate the falling ball in the goal.

The pressure from the guests increased, especially due to the inclusion of ex-Regensburg player Sebastian Stolze and von Kerk, who had scored three times for Osnabrück at 4-2 in Regensburg in the previous season. A free-kick from Kerk landed in the Jahn goal without being touched by another attacker. A corner kick from Kerk sailed a quarter of an hour later against the post. Hannover pushed and hoped until Joker met Zwarts.
