Tesla is rumored to be setting up a factory in Indonesia. As reported by Bloomberg, the Tesla factory in Indonesia has a production capacity of up to 1 million units per year.

The Indonesian government is known to continue to seduce Tesla to invest in Indonesia. The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan is even sure that Tesla will invest in Indonesia. Moreover, Luhut promised Tesla that if he built a factory in Indonesia, he would definitely make a profit.
“Our market is big. Where are you fighting us. We are the middle class of 60 million (people), our population is 280 million (people), how many of you are in Thailand. So our market size is already bigger. So we have to be a little arrogant like that , and confident,” said Luhut in November 2022.
Since the meeting of the Indonesian delegation at the Tesla electric vehicle assembly plant in Austin, Texas, on April 26.
