TRIBUN-BALI.COM, MANGUPURA – Bali United manager Stefano Cugurra has confirmed his departure Willian Pacheco by the club not for lack of discipline in the game but for personal matters in Brazil.
Shocking news has come from Bali United, after the star centre-back, Willian Pacheco officially no longer in Soldier Tridatu’s uniform.
The tough Brazilian defender, who has championed the Balinese club’s pride for 4 seasons, has agreed to end his partnership with Bali United’s management during the mid-season transfer window. BRI League 1 2022/2023 from Thursday 5 January 2023.
“Willian, I worked with him for 5 years at Persija and Bali United, there are no problems with me, he has good results at Persija and Bali, he can win twice together, the first round is productive when attacking, he can score goals , when the defense is also strong,” Teco told Tribun Bali on Sunday, January 8, 2023
“I don’t have problems with the players, but the players have personal problems, then he asks the management who have to deal with the problem in Brazil, they’ve agreed to finish the contract, so it’s not from the coach.” he added.
Teco also revealed that Pacheco’s departure was not due to his rough play which earned him 6 yellow cards and 1 red card during the first round.
Precisely according to Teco, a common thing, Pacheco who plays as a central defender receives many cards from the referee.
“Not at all, I just said there’s a personal problem, there’s no problem with a yellow card, a red card, he’s also a central defender. I think it’s perfectly normal to get as many yellow cards,” he concluded.
After defending Brazilian club Rio Branco FC in Indonesia as well as Bali United, Pacheco also defended Persija Jakarta in April 2016, before joining Malaysian club Selangor FC a year later.
And he finally joined Bali United in 2019, January 14, 2019 ago to be precise.
That year was his first League 1 trophy with Bali United before finally winning their second trophy the following season.
Alongside Bali United, the São Paulo-born player successfully played 94 matches in all competitions registering 11 goals and 2 assists.
Meanwhile, in the domestic League 1 competition, Pacheco spent 71 matches producing 10 goals and 2 assists with a total of 6,297 minutes of play on the field.
Besides having an advantage in his height which is 196cm, he also has an instinct to score goals which is an advantage for Pacheco.
