Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT Kimia Farma Tbk. (KAEF) confirmed that one of the company’s employees is a suspected terrorist from the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) network with the initials S who was arrested by the Anti-Terror Detachment 88 Team of the Police in Bekasi, West Java, Friday (10/9/2021).
The Company ensures that it does not tolerate acts of radicalism and terrorism in any form, including within the company so as to support the apparatus in combating these disgraceful acts.
President Director of PT Kimia Farma Tbk. Verdi Budidarmo emphasized that for the status of the arrested employee, the company has currently imposed a temporary suspension and release from duties while undergoing examination by the authorities starting September 10, 2021.
According to Verdi, if the employee is legally found guilty, he or she will be subject to severe sanctions in accordance with applicable company regulations in the form of dishonorable termination of employment and will automatically no longer be part of the company.
If the person concerned is not proven guilty on suspicion of being involved in a terrorist network, the company will take action to support the restoration of his good name.

Head of the Public Information Section of the National Police Kombes Pol Ahmad Ramadhan said that two suspects were arrested in the North Bekasi area while another suspect was arrested in Petamburan, West Jakarta.
The three terrorist suspects each had the initials MEK, S, and SH. Densus said that one of the three suspects namely SH who was arrested in the Petamburan area, West Jakarta on Friday (10/9) morning at 08.15 was a member of the JI Syuro Council.
According to Ramadhan, the Syuro Council in the JI organization can be likened to an advisor. Furthermore, he also believes that SH has another role in the terrorist group.
However, Ramadhan has not been able to specify their role and involvement in the organization. The three perpetrators have now been brought to the Polda Metro Jaya for further investigation.
