A commercial property on Otto-Hahn-Straße in Dreieich-Sprendlingen was converted to provide accommodation for refugees. The building is expected to be occupied from Monday, October 16th.
There are up to 130 beds available in around 50 rooms. Kitchens have been set up so that residents can provide for themselves. Common rooms were created as well as rooms for lessons and courses. Diakonie will provide social-educational support to people. Security will be on site 24 hours a day.
So far this year, around 1,400 refugees have been admitted to the Offenbach district. The allocation by the state of Hesse provides for almost 90 people per week for the fourth quarter of 2023. In order to accommodate these people, the Offenbach district is urgently looking for suitable housing. Apartment offers can be sent to [email protected].
