In the Netherlands, the fuel excise duty will be reduced from 1 April, on petrol by 17 cents and on diesel by 11 cents. In Belgium, excise duties on fuel have already been reduced.

More measures

In Germany, public transport is also becoming much cheaper, in order to encourage people to leave their car at home more often. A monthly ticket will cost only 9 euros for the next three months.

Furthermore, people on social assistance will again receive a one-off amount of 100 euros, on top of a comparable amount that had already been promised. In addition, taxpayers will receive a compensation of 300 euros and the child benefit will increase by a one-off amount of 100 euros.
