In late 2021, the first three seasons of ‘SWAT’ were a huge hit on Netflix and stayed in the official top 10 on the streaming service for weeks. Season 4 is finally following there, as is the case with Amazon Prime Video.
Both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are picking up the fourth season of “SWAT“ in their program. If you have a subscription to either streaming service, you can now easily stream additional episodes of the action series (with very up-to-date and relevant content, more on that later).

However, both streaming services are far behind when it comes to publishing. Seasons 5 and 6 already exist the action series about an elite police unit in Los Angeles. You can already purchase Season 5 episodes in the original English version as well as the German dub on Amazon Prime Video.

Additionally, the brand new sixth season is already available for purchase on Amazon Prime Video. However, this is only available in the original English version. It will not celebrate its German premiere until December, but then on the WOW streaming service, where it will be included in the subscription again from 14 December 2022.

So you see, streaming “SWAT” can take you right across the German streaming landscape. But if you’re giving season 3 away to Netflix in late 2021 and then stopped watching right there due to a lack of new episodes, you can now make it really easy for yourself. Because it doesn’t matter if you currently have your Netflix or Amazon Prime Video subscription, you can stream new episodes of “SWAT” there for yourself.
Season 4 “SWAT”: Very Relevant …
Incidentally, in the fourth season of the action thriller series “SWAT” for the USA, which aired from the end of 2020 to mid-2021, burning topics were addressed that are still relevant today. This is how these episodes of the series play in the midst of the corona pandemic. Not only does this play a major role in operations for the police unit headed by Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson (Shemar Moore).
The team is also confronted with racist police violence and the resulting conflicts. The real cases of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, who were brutally killed by police officers, provide the tragic background to the aftermath and are part of the storyline.
…and a new voice for Hondo in the finale
By the way, in the last two of the 18 episodes you will hear a new voice for Hondo in the German dub. Michael Deffert, who voiced Hondo in 82 episodes, fell seriously ill during the production of the fourth season, then passed away on June 13, 2021. He was therefore no longer able to synchronize the last two episodes.
He was replaced by Alexander Doering. You may know him as the German voice of ‘Avatar’ star Sam Worthington. You may have seen it in Patrick Wilson (“Conjuring” series), Oscar Isaac (“Dune”, “Star Wars” trilogy) or Henry Cavill (Superman appearances, “Enola Holmes”, “The Witcher”) heard.
