Jeon Jeon-yeon and Mayor Oh, who had been holding a subway ride protest demanding the right to move for the disabled, met and had a conversation. On the 4th of last month, Mayor Oh mentioned on social network service (SNS) that “there is no reason not to meet (with Jeon Jang-yeon),” and it has been about a month since the discussion began. Mayor Oh understood Jeon Yeon-yeon’s argument, but demanded that the protests that delayed subway operation be stopped, and Jeon Jeon-yeon requested budget allocation to guarantee the right to move, and the positions of both sides maintained a parallel line.
On the afternoon of the 2nd, Mayor Oh had a 50-minute conversation with CEO Park on the 8th floor of Seoul City Hall, with Kim Sang-han, head of the Seoul Welfare Policy Office, present. In the middle of the interview, the issue of the deinstitutionalization budget was somewhat raised, but it was generally conducted calmly. Mayor Oh said, “Establishing a subway, which is public transportation, is a crime punishable by a heavy penalty under the Railroad Safety Act.” Jeon Yeon-yeon, who openly ignores the law, is not a social weak person, but a social strong person,” he said, raising an edge about Jeon Jeon-yeon’s protest method.
CEO Park said, “The right to mobility for the disabled is not a dichotomy of dividing the strong and the weak in society. was not followed. Even for his death, he did not hear a single apology.”
Regarding the issue of deinstitutionalization, CEO Park said, “It is an issue related to the right to move for the disabled. budgeting is required.
