The Museum of the City of New York celebrates one hundred years of founding with an exhibition that reviews its own history of origin.
Located at 1220 Fifth Ave at 103rd St, they present objects and photographs that tell what the city was like at the time of its creation, in the 1920s.
At that time, the city was going through drastic changes, with the construction of new apartment buildings, many families from Victorian mansions were saying goodbye to their possessions to live in smaller spaces.
But not only valuable objects are here, the exhibition includes other seemingly more trivial ones, such as a seat from the old Yankee Stadium, or the tools that were used in the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge.
